Potato Curry | Vegitarian Recipie


Serves – 4
Preparation time –  5 mins
Cooking time – 20 mins
Ingredients:
  • Potatoes – 5 medium size
  • Onion (Sliced) – 1 cup
  • Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
  • Curry Leaves – few
  • Cilantro – as required
  • Salt – to aste
  • Green Chillies – 10 or to taste
  • Ginger – 1 inch piece
  • Dry Red Chilli whole – 1
  • Lemon Juice – 2 tsp
  • Oil – 4 tsp
Procedure : 
Step 1: Peel and pressure cook the potatoes till they are cooked but still they don’t loose their shape.
Step 2 : Chop them into small pieces or mash them up.
Step 3 : In a sauce pan, add oil, when it is hot, add mustard seeds, cumin seedsm curry leaves, turmeric powder and red chillies.
Step 4 : Saute this for 30 secs and add onions , salt, cover and cook till they are soft. Keep an eye so that the onions does’nt burn.
Step 5 : While the onions are getting done, make a paste out of cilantro, ginger, green chillies.
Step 6 : Add this paste to the cooked onions and saute this for 3- secs and add the cooked potatoes and mix well, add salt and mix well.
Step 7 : Garnish it with finely chopped cilantro and lemon juice.
Step 8 : Serve it with dosa.
