Indian Soup Mulligatawny


This delicious Anglo-Indian soup is a product of the British Raj in India. Mulligatawny is chicken-vegetable soup flavored with Indian spices.The name Mulligatawny comes from 2 oriental Indian words meaning 'pepper water' and curry is the particular ingredient that gives this incredible soup such a delicious flavor.

Ingredients:
Butter 2 tb
Pepper corns 10 n
Chopped ginger 1 ts
Chopped garlic 1 ts
Chopped onions 2 n
Curry leaves 1
Carrot 1 n
Green apple 1 n
Turmeric ¼ TS
Chicken stock (full floured) 3 cup
Lentils (red gram, Bengal gram) 1 cup
Garam masala 1 tb
Coconut milk ½ cup
Chicken dumplings 3 n
Coriander leaves 1 b

Method: 
Heat butter in a pan and add pepper corns, chopped ginger, garlic, chopped onions, curry leaves, carrot, green apple, turmeric, add chicken stock, add boiled lentils (chanadal and tour dal)and add garam masala, salt, cook for 5 minutes, after that put it in the blender and make a nice pure and then put it on the flame and bring a boil, add some more salt, and add coconut milk, switch off the flame, take chicken dumpling in a plate and pour the soup on the plate, garnish with boiled rice, fried onions and coriander leaves.
