Paneer Tikka Recipe | Healthy Recipe

Paneer Tikka can be considered as one of the most exotic snack recipe of our Indian cuisine. This recipe is made using pan fried paneer cubes and some veggies marinated in a unique combination of spices. Paneer tikka can also be grilled using skewers in oven. Here, I have shared the procedure on non-stick tawa or sandwich maker.
Ingredients
1. Paneer or Cottage Cheese - 250 gm
2. Besan or Senagapindi - half cup
3. Fresh cream - half cup or little less
4. Red capsicum - 1/4
5. Green capsicum - 1/4
6. Yellow capsicum - 1/4
7. Thick curd - 1/2 cup
8. Butter - 3 tbsp
9. Green chillies - 3-4
10. Garlic cloves - 5-6
11. Ginger - 1 inch piece
12. Lemon - 1
13. Fennel seeds - 2 tbsp
14. Chaat masala - 1 tbsp
15. Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
16. Salt - 1 tbsp
17. Pepper powder - 1 tbsp
18. Elachi powder - 1 tbsp
19. Onion - 1 medium size
Instructions
  1. Chop the veggies, that is onions, green capsicum, red capsicum, yellow capsicum..cut paneer into 1 inch thick pieces.
  2. Firstly, heat butter in a kadai and fry besan or gramflour or senagapindi for half a minute, keep it in a bowl. Dry roast fennel seeds, keep it aside.
  3. Then, prepare one of the main paste which adds spiciness to the dish..grind ginger, garlic cloves, chillies, roasted fennel seeds into a fine paste.
  4. To prepare batter for marination, take a bowl and add butter fried gram flour, prepared chilly paste, thick curd, fresh cream, chaat masala, salt, chilli powder, pepper powder, elachi powder, lemon juice and mix it well into a thick batter.
  5. Add all the chopped veggies, that is, red, green and yellow capsicum pieces; onions; and paneer cubes.
  6. Gently mix all the veggies and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Using butter, pan fry the veggies both the sides; here I used my sandwich maker which would also be a better option. (Fry the veggies with medium flame or less..they should just be cooked to soft but not crispy enough)
  8. Using skew sticks, gently pierce all the veggies (in the middle of each piece) one after one..experiment with the color combination of the fried veggies and serve hot..!!
The yummy mouth watering Paneer Tikka recipe is now ready to serve.
  9. Tip
    1. Cook the paneer to soft only. Be sure paneer don't turn crispy.
    2. The remaining batter used for marination can be used in any other curry recipe for chapathi. :)
